Wow... I didn't realize how long it's been since I posted anything here! Sorry guys. I know you were all dying to hear from me.
So I've been thinking a lot this week about chocolate. This is not really unusual; however, I've been thinking about it in a different context. You know how we're supposed to exercise moderation in all things? Yeah. Well, I have a problem, and after all these years I'm going to come out and say it.
I have a chocolate addiction.
Yes... yes... Mr. Hershey's and I have been dating.
We sell candy bars at work, and they just sit there on the desk staring at me. Of course since I'm an employee I can have one whenever my little chocoholic heart wants. AHHHHH!! I can't handle it! Today I took a Ziplock baggie full of apple slices to munch on in order to keep my

mouth occupied, and hey! I only gave in to a couple of tootsie rolls, so we're making progress here. But I'm going to need a long term solution here. I figure if I stay away from it as much as possible and treat myself to something once a week I'll be able to "Hershey's Kiss" this habit goodbye!
Wow... that was funny the second before I wrote it down.
Anyway, if you guys have any clever ideas for me, feel free to share.

There is no cure for chocolate addictions, so don't waste your time. Just enjoy! Yes, moderation works sometime, but you've got to have a stronger will power than mine. (I once ate a whole 8oz. bar of Hershey's chocolate at a time and broke out in hives. I was 11.)This is a conjenitive problem, you inherited it from me. Chocolate is the best thing in the world, (next to tomato soup) Have a great summer, Love Aunt Vicki
Honey, it's in your blood, don't fight it. Try smaller amounts of the really good stuff (ie. dark and fine) and you won't need as much. Trust me. I have finally figured it out.
PS Never ask my mom how to stop eating chocolate.
I tried to go of sugar once... I actually don't eat a lot of candy, but everywhere I turned someone else was "oh, no thank you, I'm not eating processed sugar". So I thought I'd give it a try.... ok, sugar is in everything. Like I said, I don't even eat that many treats, about 5 days after going "off sugar" I had a melt down and bought 4 Little Debbies a Cherry Coke and a Butterfinger Crisp to seal the deal. After the Crisp, two Debbie snacks and half the bottle of liquid joy I decided to not "go off sugar" again.... I do better giving in every now and then, now if I could just break a sweat now and then I might take my waist size back a year or three.
I THOUGHT IT WAS ONE OF THE MAJOR
FOOD GROUP'S...EVEN IF SONE OF US ARE TOO DARN SWEET....
Don't fight it. Learn to live with your addiction. We have a great support group in the family.
I am glad you blogged again. We were making up great stories that some cute hunk had come and wisked you away. I was glad for you, but missed your entries. Welcome back.
How's the hunk?
